76GT clocks, try this on for size..

May I just ask, what GFX drivers are they?

I'm using a 7600 GT too, with the 7 Series drivers from nVidia website. Are you using the omega drivers?
 
Standard nvidia driver, no tweaks/mods on the drivers whatso ever...

Mine is only volted to 1.46v (from 1.36v standard...) can't seem to get any more graphite on the resistor.. just wont come down past 380 homs (from 430 ohms standard)

Fianlly managed to get the other card to 380 ohms... just wondering, what grade pencil are you using?.. 1.7v is insane :eek:

Not tried the superclocked card in 3d mark 06 yet.. but i got 4030 with it at 675/1650, and 12000 with 650/1650 SLi... highest sli mark on the rob is about 16k...
 
a 2B pencil, ive taken the card that died out now so im seeing how low i can get the ohms on it with the pencil - im at 270Ω atm

i need a way to drain the capacitors on the card now


edit : 193Ω now, what kind of voltage is that?

well, 430Ω is 1.36v, 380Ω is 1.46v... so every 50Ω drop is 0.1v increase..

430-193 = 237 which is roughly 4 3/4 lots of 0.1v, 1.835v i'd guess... measure it with a volt meter when its in ;)

i would measure it when its in but this is the duff card, the PC doesnt turn on with it in :(



ok im volt modding the XFX XXX card now, have you volt modded the ram on your card at all?

yeah, 630Ω down to 580Ω.. apparantly safe to 500Ω... but mine just doesn't want to go that low... i'd check the ohmage 1st, as my mate has the exact same model, and his was 590Ω at stock (we are both using xfx xxx editions.. i infact have 3 here to play with :D)

yeah mine is 590Ω at stock, memory is safe upto 2.2v on my card. any more its artifacts galore!
this core isnt taking any more than 1.65v either, the BFG was an awesome card till it died :o
 
Finally got my other card to accept the graphite...

Currently at 30 mins on ATi tool @ 750mhz core, not upped the ram yet, couldn't get that down to much below 580Ω...

SLi and '06 results to come :D

/me goes off to look for a 2B pencil...
 
Bah, it's no good :( Can't seem to get anything higher than 13k in SLi, won't clock past 710/1750 in sli...

The other card i had topped out at 850mhz core, but the mem just wont clock at all rather surprised that they won't clock to 750 core in sli... i know you're not meant to be able to clock as well, but didn't realise the clock dropped that much... i'll keep at it :D
