Hey guys I'm awfully confused after reading many conflicting sources.
Right now I'm using one single asus gtx 770 and it's good at overclocking. I'm planning to upgrade to sli and I have seen that the msi 770 lightning costs less and is faster while still being a very good quality card. Can I match the two cards without issues? Some sources have said nvidia cards will operate together without changing clock speeds - others say that they will change clock speeds and some say I'll have a vast amount of difficulty doing this. As such I'm quite confused and wondering at this point if I even should mix my asus 770 with the msi lightning? I can easily use a second asus 770 but I'd just like to know before I buy as an extra 100mhz is worth it if it doesn't hurt :P

From what i believe, the second card will downclock to the lowest clocks of the other card. So buying cards with the same clocks would be best, or you would have to OC the reference to the msi lighting clocks.

In sli each card will hit its own independent boost speed. As long as both have the same vram amount your good to go.
