770 vs 780

So I've got £400 to drop on a new card but I'm a little stuck at to go for. I've currently got a 6870 which isn't cutting it for work or play, and want to head back to the green side of town.

I cannot decide between a 770 4GB or 780. While I understand the 780 outperforms the 770 the VRAM would be a benefit to my work. I work as a graphic/motion designer and that added VRAM would certainly help the Adobe suite. But at the same time I'm not sure whether 1GB VRAM is better over the added CUDA cores in the 780.

Really just looking for someone to help me decide! Saving money with the 770 would be great but is the 780 worth the extra?

Will be running the card at 1920x1200 res, and playing a lot of BF4 when I'm not working.

I did this. 680 to 780, forced due to faulty 680. In synthetic benchmarks looking at 25-30% increase in performance.

I dont know if my 680 was faulty but my 680 classy was a loud of..the 780 classy I used to have was a beast but the fan problems these cards have is annoying been through 3 classifieds now.. gave up and went to a reference 780 which clocks just as good!! and looks better
