Hi there,

Running a 7700k with an MSI gaming M5 Z270 board.

Noticed CPU doesn't exceed 67 degrees with a predator AIO with 980Ti however, thought the temperatures would be lower to be honest. So looked at HwMonitor and I believe the Auto voltage on this board isn't the best.

Seen 1.3V on the Vcore isn't that sort of voltage for like 5Ghz on these chips roughly?

Maybe I should set it manually any guide for voltages?

Auto voltage will always stick way too much through the chip. Always set the voltage manually.

You want to use the offset mode. That way the voltage will scale with your clockspeed.

You just need to be careful and research a good starting value for your board.

I would start at 4.5ghz as that is the max boost speed and 1.3v. Then go upto 4.6ghz then 4.7ghz etc, when it crashes or becomes unstable give it 1.35v as see how high it will go again. You are good upto 1.4v on kabylake cpu, but make sure the temps don't go above 80c. Ideally you would delid the cpu to make it run cooler and to get maximum performance,.
