770gtx phantom or 780gtx?

Just building a system spec at moment and see the following options

Gainward GeForce GTX 770 Phantom 4096MB GDDR5 Graphics Card
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 Windforce 3X OC 3072MB GDDR5 Graphics Card

I would have thought the 780 was the better card but is £50 less?

Is it because of the memory?

Which card would be faster for BF4 and the like?

780 runs BF4 very well, I generally get around 100fps on most maps.

Unless you are running higher resolutions 3GB is absolutely fine. If the 780 is cheaper get it I'd say.

Not imo - 780

Better performance and warranty I believe and cannot see where these advantages are outweighed by an extra gb of ram (not when it's 3 v 4gb)

GTX 780ti - for the people who have difficulty in understanding the price v performance ratio

GTX 780 - for the people who who have nearly got it right

GTX 770 - for the people who like tarted up old tech.

AMD for the people who actually think.

Yes that's true the 290 is best at value per fps in most games, I see it as why have a skoda when you can have an Audi for a little more, even though they are a similar speed.

I did consider AMD but Ive always had Nvidia and I actually like the shadowplay feature, use it all the time.

No need to stray from what I know unless there was a massive reason to do so, and whilst the Nvidia/AMD argument can go 23 pages the bottom line is neither is head and shoulders above the other.
