As per title really.

I'm 95% sure after replacing my 'faulty' Geil RAM that my mobo is at fault as well (Asus P5K-VM).

I'm not really sure what I'm looking at TBH, such as what chipset to go for etc. I currently have an E6850 at stock 3GHz, but hope to get a Q6600 in the near future and get that up to ~3GHz. The memory I'm using is OCZ Platinum PC8500, but not sure if that matters (voltages?).

I don't care about OB sound/video so whether it has this or not is of no concern. I'll be buying new.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

I'm currently looking at the Asus P5Q SE Plus (a bit out of budget), is this meant to be a good board compared with others?

Cheers for the reply.

I probably should've thought to mention I'd like 4 memory slots (may add an extra 4gb at some point).

I'd love to go i3/5/7 but really can't afford it (and I tend to stay at least a couple of hardware generations behind everyone else - cheaper that way! :D).
