I'm installing a Scythe Shuriken 775 cooler but I've noticed that one of the 4 pins brackets is at an angle, meaning the pin doesn't point straight down.

It says nothing about this in the manual so I can't decide if it's mean't t be like this? I've installed a intel ref 775 cooler before and all 4 of its pins are level and pointing down. Is the scythes odd pin like this to provide extra pressure? Or has it been bent out of shape?

Any advice greatly appreciated! I really need to install this cpu soon!

yes, but be carefull once you bend them they are very easy to break...

have you got another intel cooler with push pins?

I bent it back and it seems to have mounted correctly. No way it would have fitted otherwise so it was definitely bent out of shape.

Incidentally, can anyone recommend me a good cpu temperature program? I'd like to keep an eye on its temps over the next few days.
