Im after a motherboard to replace my current one, since it isnt a very good overclocker and doesnt have crossfire. I was looking at getting one of these, reviews seem good on both so having trouble deciding. Will be putting a e6750 in it and later upgrading to a quad.
I need to be able to fit 2 5850's in them. Looking at the Foxconn one im not sure if the 2 PCI slots (inbetween the PCI 2.0 Slots) will prevent the card from fitting in.

Thanks

The Foxconn board you will need to purchase DDR3 memory, there will be enough space for two cards to fit.
Plus point for the Foxconn board is it can run at dual 16x were the p45 will run at dual 8 x ( I think) but performance loss would only be minimal.

That will teach me not to read properly. Think ill opt for the Asus then, didnt notice the Foxconn was DDR3. If the performance between the 2 would be little (x16 vs x8) i cant see no reason not to pick the Asus

I would take the Asus over the Foxconn any day. That Foxconn just looks so cheap. Be advised that the Foxconn X48 is also extremely picky about memory.

The Asus (P5Q Pro Turbo) is certainly a better board than the Foxconn (better build quality), had the Asus P5Q Deluxe (which is the same as the Pro Turbo except having more features) and it was very good in all respects, especially in overclcocking...so of those 2 boards I would have no hestitation in taking the Asus.
