So looking for something £150-£250 to replace my 7770 with, mostly gaming at 720p but will jump to 1080p when the next telly arrives. Needs to be proper quiet, cant hear my 7770 and that's the way I like it. My PSU can supply a couple of 8 pin connectors. Need something not super massive, using a fortress ft03 which is a limited space.

Don't care red or green, both been good to me.

i *think* the Asus DirectCU II 280x comes in as the quietest with the HIS IceQ coming second of them since your looking but it is out of your budget.

So it sounds like wait for a good non reference 280x to come into budget so far. How does the Nvidia cards cope at this sort of price range? Remember, i'm going for 1080p max.

The Gigabyte 280x - a little above budget but comes with Battlefield 4 .

I have not owned one BUT do have both an Asus 7950 Top and a Gigabyte 7950 windforce - noise wise I prefer the Gigabyte.

And uk rma:) (Asus do not have a reputation for being helpful however as I have not had to use them yet , I cannot speak from personal experience :()
