780 Classy vs Lightning

I got a Classi over the lightning, no reason other than the notoriously good support from EVGA.

Lightnings were using cheaper Elpidia memory (double check current status though as Classifieds did for a while also)

Personally I would not get either unless you are all out benchmarking.

The Asus Direct CU2 (if you can see past warranty) has most of the above matched in many ways ;)

Agreed with Jakus but I would go for the MSI gaming edition or the Gigabyte OC purely for warranty reasons (unless you intend to bench them of course).

Either or though if it were my money and you're going for water I'd just grab the evga sc thats on offer atm, more likely to find blocks sometime this year ;)

Don't seem like there to much of a problem with getting hold of the EK Water Blocks EK-FC780 GTX Classified waterblocks...

As the First place I looked at lists 3 instock...

Lack of backplate on the EVGA is bothering me, they easy enough to get a hold of?

I am somebody who has to have a backplate. My last 3 gpu's have had them.

Asus 7970 matrix platinum, gtx 780 dcu2 and on Monday, I should have a gigabyte 780 ghz edition.

Feels like something is missing without it.

Out of those I'd get the Classified due to better looks and better support/warranty.
I'd go with one of the cheaper cards instead, though.

Either looked harder then me or someone just got stock! UK wide ek stock of everything recent looked pretty grim yesterday.
