780 Lightning "Lite Edition"

I dunno, I don't think Elpida stuff is that bad in truth, I've had some decent clocks out of it. Think the ASUS 290X uses it, and they clock well enough. Just look at Kaaps results.

Why MSI decided to stop binning cards, so just left the overclocking down to the consumer and reduced the price.

They are now focused on 290X Lightning and 780Ti Lightning, the 780 Lightnings are now EOL and no more. :)

That was a short life on the 780 Lightnings.

TBH it's a brand that only makes sense for the top chips. I would wager they only put these cards out for the recognition that comes with world records and being the fastest, not to make money off them directly.
