780 Lightning overclocks

What are people getting stable on their MSI 780 Lightnings?

Mine is under water and never makes it about 40*C but I can't seem to get it any higher.

Max I've managed is 1280/1627. What about yours?

You made sure to shove on a high power bios and sort out voltage control?

I have an LN2 BIOS with the power limit and max voltage applied via AB.

I'm not sure if I can hack the max V or not like I could on the Inno3D card...

There is a proper EVGA clocking tool to allow higher volts. You should really be using that bud.

It won't work with the Lightning as it's an MSI card surely.

Baaa never mind... My clocks are fairly low aren't they compared to what you'd expect from something marketed as being built so well?

AFAIK there's no unlocked voltage hack like there is the the reference 780 :/

There is but you need to use rbby;s tool or similar, have a scour about on OCN as the lightning tools should all be there

Good stuff, I've seen lightning's doing over 1.5v so its deffo possible, just don't expect too much from the memory clocks.

Cool I'll have a play. As a complete noob I got my old 780 to 1423/1855 so I'd have at least expected to match the core on the LTG... I know the men is poop though :/

They use higher rated VRMs etc so you can pump some volts into them without too much worry.

I think Nickolp had one of the Lightnings. From what I can remember, he managed 1400+ on the core but struggled with the memory.

I've tried RBBY's tool with loads of different AB's but it won't work with the latest and the others have expired so I cannot use them...

Is there any way if using expired versions of AB?
