Is it worth the upgrade or not I'm thinking not but what do you guys think please share your thoughts.

sounds like you already made up your mind :).

If your 780 does you fine now, i would suggest waiting at least until the next series. the 980 is big improvement on the 780 but is the increase in fps worth it for you?

check some reviews.

I'd say wait until the next gen. You'll only see an improvement in benchmarks. As suggested, if you're low on power, get a used one and sli them. You can find some dirt cheap ones at the minute

No it ain't worth to upgrade now from the 780. Possibly next year when the GPUs with 20nm process are out. (6 months)

All my games are running well at the moment and I am happy just wanted someone else's opinion in case I missed something.

If anyone is upgrading from the 780 please let us know what it's like :)

To see benefits from a single (overclocked) 780 your next upgrade should be two cards or a single card that delivers 50% more performance.

I say that from personal experience upgrading from 780 to 295X2.
On games that they do not support CF, performance is more or less the same, however on games that do support CF the performance is amazing. (eg Tomb Raider, SC Commander Arena, Crysis 3, TW Rome 2 battles).

Hope I helped.

As said above i believe also that the important bit is that it is worth it if your next upgrade delivers 50% extra performance. If you need the extra power, there are some nice used 780s to go sli. But i dont think it is worth it to go 980, the benchmarks show that it is slightly better than an 780ti. Wait it off for a 980ti (if they go to 20nm) or the next generation. Your gpu is doing fine. Plus do you see a game out there in the future that will be taxing at the resolution you play?

With the big price cuts now used prices are going to tumble big time so either pick up a new one for £230 or wait for a used one to catch your eye and go SLI. Your psu is more than up to the job.
