780 vs My PSU

My AX750 died this week along with my motherboard, & I'm having to ship off the PSU to Corsair tomorrow to be replaced. In the mean time I've moved my system into my Prodigy, which is doing a grand job considering before it was basically a fancy looking thing in the corner of the room.

Anyway, I picked up one of the MSI Gaming 780s this morning, & with it coming tomorrow I'm curious whether other PSU will be fine. I ask because I blew 2 PSUs back when I had a 8800GTX and it has always worried me!

PSU is a BeQuiet L8 530W '80 Plus Bronze' running a 3770k @ 4.2GHz.

I'd say no, that PSU is only good for up to 28amps and the recommended by MSI is 42

The 780 needs 600w + 42A on the 12V

Thanks for the link, couldn't find anything on MSI's site.

Have to wait for Corsair to get my AX back to me then! Sick of playing BF4 on low. Thanks for the replies all.
