7800 XT nitro temps / undervolting

Hi!
So finally I had some time to game on my new GPU and noticed bit of an issue with hotspot temps on my nitro. While overall temp stays around 50-60 most of the time hotspot can get up to 90-95. This seems really high and causes fans to go wild. Am I right to think this is not normal temp for this card ? Bought nitro specifically to avoid issues with coil whine and temps and I got both :D.
Interestingly when I undervolt to 1080mv and drop core clock to 2450 temps become much better - most of the time hotspot sits around 70 with peaks to 80 so far.
Power draw drops to around 220 as well so I think that's actually a pretty good trade off for few pct of performance.
Just few question I wanted to confirm since I am fairly new to this:
1) if default temps are awful would you just rerun the card ? Do you think bad temps can suggest other issues or should o just keep it slightly undervolted and be happy with it
2) performance seems good in 3dmark but I am a bit confused with cyberpunk for example. Random reviews says they average 90 fps with 7800x3d on 1440p ultra no RT. I'm actual game I can drop as low as 60. In game benchmark I get 86 average fps could someone confirm what you get and is that normal ?
3) I see some ppl suggest repast to fix temp issues but worried this can void warranty ? Also hotspot temp can spike and go back to normal numbers within second is that usual ?

Appreciate your feedback!

Is your case well ventilated. You are going to need extractor fans at the rear roof and back to get rid of all the hot air. Cannot see what cpu you have. Cyberpunk needs strong cpus with the latest updates.

You are really going to need one in the roof rear position.

This, with more intake fans than extractor fans what you're doing is creating positive pressure in the case, so the air flow is not good, you're just recycling warm air from inside of the case, what you want is the same amount of air pulled out as pushed in, or better yet negative air pressure, so more air out than in, that creates nice air flow and sucks the hot air out of the case.

Get a couple of 140mm fans and put them in the roof of the case, orientate them to pull air out.

Seems like a delta of around 20-25°C is normal for 7800XT's (23°C for the Nitro+ TPU tested)
Going on that TPU link it seems the quiet BIOS on the Nitro+ gave them better results, 20°C delta with reduced fan speed/noise so maybe worth giving that a try.

As for getting extra fans personally I'd look at what the ambient temps are like in the case before shelling out for more fans, most MoBo these days have sensor readouts for things like PCIe slot, system, or a sensor that measures the general temp so I'd look to see what that is first. (what MoBo is it?) If the temp inside the case is much more than a 10°C delta over the room temp then you may want to consider better case cooling IMO.

Have you tested temps with the side panels off your case to see if there is a difference?

With the default Bios & fan profile my nitro+ runs something like 64-84c. I think a delta of 20c is pretty normal, 30c not so great but it's not unheard of with this card. The cooler on this card is so powerful & quiet yet I find the default fan profile too lax. With this profile the fans do a bit more work & temps respond accordingly.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will try with side panel off that should help to confirm if any issues with air flow. I think it shouldn't be too bad because core temp seems perfectly fine it's just the hot spot that is going bit wild.
Indeed on default settings I get a delta of 30 degrees and it really makes the cards go into helicopter mode :D.
What is surprising to me that bit of undervolt and core drop makes the hotspot temp drop so much.
@docsonic will try the fan curve too, I see you mentioned 20k for 3dmark score that's really high I got ,18.5k though seems to be average for 7800xt. Do you have cyberpunk by any chance, mind telling me what you get when you run that benchmark in graphics settings?
