7800gs oc problem with lcd monitor

Hi please help, ive just purchased a BFG 7800 GS OC from this very site and ive installed it all but i get nothing on screen, and i get 19" hyundai lcd monitor.

Thing is ive put old graphics card back in and that now doesnt work too.

Can anyone help.

Could you post the rest of your system? PSU, mobo especially important.

Do you get anything from the motherboard? Does the hard disk access as if windows is booting?

yeah num lock lights work, hard disk light is on as if all working just nothing on screen.

Optical mouse lights up to etc

Also green light on Mobo is on (mobo is Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe)

Try unplugging and reconnecting everything, especially reseating the CPU and its heatsink. As you tried another gfx card, it is unlikely to be that and most likely the motherboard.

Well how can mobo just go from swapping a graphics card, ive read about clearing bios before installing new graphics i havent tried this yet could it work??

It could be some bug in the bios, as the PC is bnooting, just without the video. Maybe it defaults to some incompatible agop slot setting. As you suggest, clearing the cmos battery would also be a good move.

Have you tried it with a different monitor? Just a thought.
