7800GT Cooler Replacement, is it difficult?

Hi, now it's summer my 7800GT makes quite a racket and I want to get a silent cooler for it. I'm thinking of this one;
'Arctic Cooling NV Silencer Accelero X1 AC-NVS-X1 NV6800/7800 Series'
I've seen several good reviews for it and its cheap.

A while ago I tried to take the fan/heatsink assembly off my 7800GT but it wouldn't budge (I did take the screws out), am I missing something or must I try harder?

Also, will I need to buy thermal paste?

It probably wasnt budging as once you had taken all the screws out the core/memory and thermal paste would have cooled down and made like glue. It's best to use it for a while to get it warmed up, take it out the unscrew it and it should come off easier. If it doesnt budge try moving it but dont pull it up as it could take a memory chip or something with it. Once its loose it should just come off
