7800GT where???

7800GT ??

Last xmas i upgraded my card from a 6600GT to a 256mb 7800GT and what a nice card it is/was i must say for the £200 i paid for it last year.
now it is time to upgrade the card on the kids PC i was looking to get another 7800GT but they seem to be unavailable for a decent price
the cards around the same price seem to be

Is this card much better than the 256mb 7800GT ?

and why the lack of 7800gt where as u can still get 6600gt's no problems

hot hugely better than the 7800GT TBH, but it overclocks FAR better and the 7800GT but i think the 6600GT still is

So the 7950gt is a fair improvement over the 7800gt then,,nice

are there any compatibility issues with the asus a8n board and this card that anyone knows of

and also the system is currently powered by a tagan 480 atx 2 psu is this powerfull enough for the upgrade in cards ,, ( cpu is x2 3800 )

Fine although an x1950xt for £170 seems a better deal, or the 7900GTO 512mb.

hes right though, the X1950XT demolishes all of the cards we have said so far plus its similar priced to the 7950GT

and the x1950xt is 512mb as well ?

as the 1950xt's i have seen are much more expensive than that

No, it is 256mb but performs a bit better and costs less... OcUK are selling them for £165.

and if so will my tagan 480 atx 2 psu that currently runs my 7800gt run it ok ?

and 1 last question the pc is use mostly to play world of warcraft does any card perform better than the other 1 on this game ( by a good margin ) ?

According to the only review I could find (which appears to be dead atm) they are faster in all games but prey/doom3/quake4 and thats only marginal.

I assume my psu will run it fine as the power requirments would be the same as a 7800gt you would think.
