Hi,
What's the highest stable speed anyone has overclocked a stock 7800GT to?
My graphics seem to mess up if i try anything over 479/1.1
Thanks

Thats pretty bad :o on stock cooling etc i got upto 476mhz with 50mhz delta on the core and 1.22 on the memory

 I have the Gigabyte one.
When i click 'detect optimal frequencies' it puts the card to like 490/1.23 but then when i play a graphics intense game, the graphics go fuzzy and the comp crashes

Mine runs fine at 490/1200 and maxes out at 497/1240 (on stock) I have since changed the cooling though for something quieter

i had the xfx extreme one and it wouldnt go past those clocks so i soon sold that on and now have a 7900 that does 600/1700 easy without even trying

i think they use rubbish components on the cheap ones whoch limits the overclocks

What do you mean by '50Mhz delta on the core' ?
Thanks

50mhz delta is when the card goes into 3d mode and adds 50mhz more to the core. I think most 7800's had 40mhz delta on them. If you use rivatuner to look at your clocks then open up a game it should change its clock speed.

100% stable @ 494mhz - core, and 1.22ghz - memory. thats on an XFX 7800GT with stock cooler, i reccomend taking the heatsink off and cleaning the chip and replacing the thermal compound on it with arctic silver as my temps were far lower by doing this.

My temps aren't really very high , the max around 65C.
It seems to be the memory, much above 1.1ghz , the graphics go fuzzy and the comp crashes
thanks for the help :)
