You only really got two choices for under £100...Palit or OcUK Value:

The Palit's custom cooler could be quite loud...if it's anything like its cooler for the GTX460s.

As for the OcUK value, you might get Inno3D or Sparkle brand card, of which the cooler 'might be' quieter than Palit's.

If hes not looking for anything much better, get that post count up and join the members market. I have 2 x Asus 7800gtx 512mb versions sitting in a draw. Almost the same card a wee bit better coz of double the ram and a different cooler.

mr griffin I have just noticed you are running the same cpu and mobo as me. I can not get my cpu higher than 3.7 at sane volts. How are you running your chip at 4.2? I wpuld have to run something like 1.45 underload volts to get mine stable at 4ghz....

I'd suggest a NVIDIA 240 - £60-80

Overkill for Guild Wars. I run it fine on an 8400 laptop chip.

I guess all chips are different and some clock better than others. Mine requires 1.368 volts for 4.104ghz which I am running it at. I'm running 432 x 9.5 on the fsb and multi.
If you want exact settings and stuff pm me and I'll add you to msn or something and try and help you a bit more.

Its a market on OCUK forums that "appears" once you have been on the forums for 90 days, posted at least 250 times and activated your trust profile (click "trust" button at the bottom right of any of your posts).

Loads of great deals to he had there as people get rid of their old kit (usually to buy shiny new kit from OCUK shop).

I thinkwasting 100 quid on a card that is to replace an ancient 7800gtx is madness, buy a cheap 4850 for about 60-70 pounds and enjoy the upgrade, will be massivly faster than the old card.
