7800GTX Upgrade options

when you installed the new drivers, did you uninstall the old drivers first? i'm thinking perhaps you uninstalled the chipset drivers for your mobo as well by mistake? :)

I'm pretty sure I didn't as I uninstalled from the graphics adapter bit. How would I check anyway?

Edit: I think I did. Everything's gone **** up atm. I think I'll have to run driver cleaner again.

For some reason coolbits is acting funny aswell. The memory used to be 1.30 and now it's 2.40GHz standard?

Those drivers are dreadfull and coolbits will give false reading using them.
Go to Guru and read the forums for the best drivers.
My watercooled 7800gtx (256) runs at 520/1.36 artifact free and runs FEAR at 1600x1200 2AA/4xAF with all settings to max except smooth shadows and it plays smooth, thats with 2 gig mem and an SD 3700 at 2.65Ghz.
