Hi all

Was after a bit of advice and guidance.

Bit of a ramble coming up.......be warned.

T Mobile signal in my flat is proper pump (unable to make any calls when indoors) so after a letter of complaint, they sent me a SignalBox gratis.

All was good, yet i have recently noticed that this keeps failing. I believe that the failing is coincident with downloading TVOD via Wifi.

What I was thinking is that the download is using all the bandwidth, the Signalbox sees this as throws a wobbly as it does not have enough bandwidth to operate correctly.

The few questions this throws up are

1 - Does anyone know the minimum bandwidth that the box requires?
2 - How do I go about setting a QoS on my 7800n to set this minimum as always available to the Signalbox
3 - Has anyone else had a similar issue

I will be giving T-Mob a ring later on, but am not expecting the greatest of responses from them on something that is going technical (have you tried switching it off and on / have you tried it an another port / we will send you another box *please delete as required)

Cheers

Cheers for that dmsims.

Not sure what the IP address of the box is at present (or if can log into it either).

Will be speaking to T-Mob later and see what they have to say on this and see if they can be of any help

Bandwidth is 20 Mbps at present (router shows sync at 21150). Direct line to exchange with O2 distance of approx 600m

Finding the MAC of the box is the tricky part as can't seem to see it listed one there. IS a serial number and IMEI number.

Suppose i could look at DHCP list with it on, turn it off, refresh and then see what has vanished....
