7800xtx hot spot temp

i had some pRobles with my system over the last few weeks, it’s now back up and running fine, but have noticed my gpu hotspot temp is up at at 95c under water, the core temp is fine at 42c, any one got any ideas, before I start stripping this thing down again?

Thats a huge delta. I would check even clamping pressure and make sure the thermal paste has an even spread. It might be worth checking if a thermal pad would get you better results.

PTM 7950 will help a lot allegedly. Well, that is what I had discovered from googling anyway.

Well after stripping it down the thermal paste was bone dry, back together now at running at 42c on the core and 58c on the hotspot, it’s wired though as it wasn’t throttling, games were playing fine and the core was at 42c, it was just the hotspot up at 95c

You'd think the paste they use would at least last through the warranty period...

Thankfully mine still stays at around 75C when gaming
