Guy's really need help big time, im about to bite the bullet on the 28th an get a 980Ti but......

At the moment im really struggling to push the button an take the jump, what im after finding out is,will i notice any major difference going from 780Ti to a 9Ti?

Currently running 1 780Ti at the moment.

Was having problems with POE an that's what made put the funds together for a 9Ti but have recently worked out its the actual game an not my 7Ti drivers.

I get black screen with bad lag spikes (POE only).

Any help or input would be great guys, i used to be a serial up-grader but no longer as i found it not worth it due to price vs performance.

Oh an i play at 1080 not interested at going higher at the moment unless i jump aboard the ultra wide screen brigade.

I run a 780 at 1440p and find it fine to be honest. So I'm pretty sure a ti version at 1080p would absolutely fly. Not sure why you'd need a 980ti to be honest?

My advice is keep your money unless you go higher resolution or VR. The 980's are way overpriced, especially with pascal not that far away now.

POE is not really that demanding a game.

I would suggest you to try to may be rollback a couple of driver version, as new Nvidia drivers are not always better (and known to be at times worse and less stable) than older drivier versions for non-current gen cards.

780Ti should be plenty for 1080p gaming...except for Crysis 3 and Shadow of Mordor. Do not let the potential driver caused problem be the reason for upgrading your card.

I upgraded from a 780 to 980Ti and while my game never dips it wasn't worth it for BF4 @ 2560x1440. Playing GTA5 on the other hand it performs a lot better. I would put your money towards a better screen such as the ultra GSYNC monitors.

Ah the urge to have something shiny and new :p

I used to upgrade my graphics card for the hell of it years ago, but have to justify it to myself these days.

Have to admit I struggle with urges to upgrade from time to time :D But I'm pretty good at holding off until I need to now.

Your system looks pretty damn good to me. If you really want a 980ti, then you could always get a nice hi res monitor to justify it though :p

Just keep saying to yourself..."it's been over 4 years that GPU has been stucked on 28nm process, I don't want to buy another (EOL) 28nm process GPU card when 16/14nm process GPU graphic cards will soon be on their way" :D

Think im going hold off, would be the best choice

I hate it when the itching starts :D

Try enabling K-Boost in something like EVGA Precision (only when gaming - as you don't really want to be forcing the GPU to full power on the desktop) - I've found that the recent few drivers (though 361.43 seem a bit better) don't seem to play nice with some older games like for instance Skyrim unless you either reset clocks to reference ones (even on factory OC cards) or enable K-Boost.

Im only getting it with POE m8 an i think its the game it self as others are complaining about it on the forums.
