Well, don't I feel like a muppet... how did I miss that over and over?

Ah well...

I had a thermaltake toughpower 875 which I eventually replaced with a Seasonic X850 as I was getting a lot of crashes. Think it helped, but at similar time I changed memory too.

Not saying it is that though.

Could be you need an eyetrip to the optition :D
 
Holy thread revival Batman!! Just updating this to the people who helped with ideas.

It was indeed user error, the loose PCIE cable mentioned was indeed the cause. This connector being loose had damaged the Molex connector to one of my 8 pin connectors. Guess it was enough power to surf but when it needed more juice, shorted out due to an improper connection.

Tested it for over a month now with no problems at all. Saw a couple of OCUK guys on BF4 last night and it worked fine then too, my game play on the other hand. Ugh.
