Hi All,
Sorry for 'one of those' threads but I am trying to decide wether to pull the trigger or not on a 980TI. I currently have an Asus X99/5930K and a the philips 4K monitor.
From trying to do my own research, it looks possibly like it's not going to be an upgrade in terms of FPS, using BF4 4K ultra it seems the 780TIs in SLI are about 40fps and the 980TI the same.
However is the be all and all of my consideration? I read about 3GB of vram not being really enough for 4K but I don't know where that would actually show itself.
The only benefit I *think* would be moving to a single card = power saving which I am not that worried by and being able to offload my 780s now for a reasonable amount before they plummet further.
Would be interested in any opinions especially whether it would be worth it in light of more vram for 4k.
Cheers,
paul.
