Hi everyone,

Had a water cooled system for about 5 years now. Unfortunately the waterblocks on both the 780ti sprung a leak. Not really ready to replace them.

Was wondering if there are any waterblocks on the market at the moment that will fit the 780ti?

Thank you in advance!

Depends on the condition and if your current 780Ti blocks if can be repaired. Where are they leaking from? Could just be an o-ring replace or even just a clean out of the old blocks and resecure everything.

You will be lucky to buy a 780Ti block. No where sells them new so you would only be looking at 2nd hand or some kind of universal block.

What make and model are the blocks? Chances are that you just need new O rings and could probably find the sizes of them with a bit of googling.

OK found what parts I need:

OR 138,5x2 NBR70 - 1 - not found
OR 62x1,5 N700 - 1 - found
OR 45x1,5 NBR70 - 2 - found
OR 15x1 NBR70 - 2 - not found

Any recommendations on where to look?

You could always attempt to make your own. Take it apart and measure the diameter of the oring and then order a metre or so of the same.

Run it into the groove and then cut and superglue the ends together as square and as accurately as possible.

It’s unlikely you will get one of the perfect size as with Ekwb nearly every block is different and so will be the size of the o-ring.

The rings on the front of the block where the ports are are generic and you should be able to get replacements direct from Ekwb if they are leaking.

It’s always worth to take the blocks apart that way you can work out exactly what the problem is. O-ring/groove could be fine and just need reseating/cleaning and tightening correctly, couple of screws could be loose etc.

I believe the leak happened because the liquid temperature became too high. So maybe nothing was permanently damaged, but just temporarily pushed out of place.

I have taken apart one of the blocks and all the o rings seem fine upon inspection. So I think I will indeed clean everything out, reassemble and test run it under load for a while. Hopefully it will work fine.

Thank you for all your help/suggestions!
