780TI Windforce has died

Today my Gigabyte GeForce 780Ti OC Windforce finally died- well, I say finally. I mean suddenly. Very suddenly.

I've tried DDU and reinstalling drivers etc but nothing has worked so far. Outside of that I imagine I'm going to be looking for a new card.

So.. Can anybody give me any advice on what card to go for? I'm not looking to update my mobo, an MSI Z87 GD65 gaming, or my processor, an i7 4770K for the time being, just looking to get a new graphics card.

Is it worth getting a fairly decent card and then upgrading the mobo and processor later or should I just got for something comparable to the 780Ti and be happy?

Thanks for the advice - I'm currently using an Asus G-Sync display - would switching to AMD cause any issues there?

1660Ti or 2060 seems to be decent cards to go for depending on budget etc.

If it was me I’d go for the 1660Ti

Just as a question; there doesn't seem to be much in it between the 1660Ti and the RTX 2060- Given the rest of my rig is pretty old, would I really see any benefit from RTX- or would I better off just running the 2060 with RTX off and see some gains over the 1660Ti?
