7850, 7870 or 7950

Get the 7950.

I have had both the 7850 and 7950. The 7950 is substantially better and at that price is a real steal.

Just from looking at benchmarks, and reviews. It looks like the 7870 is better P/P. The 7950 seems about 6%-8% better. But the price is 20% more.

The 7870 (looking at reivews/benchmarks) seems way better (15%+ ) than the 7850.

Thats just a product of the relative stock speeds, which is valid if you dont want to overclock.

All 3 cards will hit around 1200MHz on the core and at those speeds the 7850 closes up on the 7870, and the 7950 pulls further ahead of the 7870.

7850 goes from 860MHz=>1200
7870 goes from 1000MHz=>1200
7950 goes from 800MHz =>1200

mileage may vary of course.
