Hi Guys

I've had my MSI Twin Frozr 7850 for just over a week now. My main display is just a 22" samsung lcd monitor which connects via the DVI port, no problems here.

Today I brought a HDMI cable so I could connect my 32" lcd TV to it too. So I've plugged it into the HDMI port on the card along with the DVI port also being used by my moniter and its not detecting another display?

Have a missed a box you need to tick some where or may there be a problem?

Thanks

Go in the options in windows and enable it as an extended display, I think there may be something in the AMD utility too. Right click the desktop and choose it to open it. I'm not at home, i'm at work on Linux so I can't help you out with the specifics.

Aside from testing to make sure the cable is ok it is simply a case of plugging it in straight into the TV and setting Windows desktop to extended.

As the TV isn't being detected clicking 'detect' should pick it up, if not, reboot, if not possibly try a driver reinstall but then I would be looking at the cable.

Hmm well, i tested the cable with the xbox and it worked, so its not that. Now i need to test a different cable with the card. But the xbox one is only 1.5m long and doesnt make it to the pc :/

But its still not detecting anything anyway.

Think i sorted it, i managed to move the pc and tv close enough together and it worked with 2 screens. The problem is i think the the new HDMI has a much thicker surround around the connection which is stopping it from going all the way into the port on the gfx card. So I'm gonna have to either file the connection down or get a pair or pliers on case(the connection is being blocked by a metal strip from the case)
