7870 Double Dissipation Voltage Control

Hi all,

Just received an XFX 7870 DD and have been trying to overclock it but I cannot get the voltage control to work. I have been using MSI Afterburner and I have edited the unofficial overclocking in the .cfg file to 1. Still it won't let me have control over the voltage.

Any ideas?

Did you write this into the file.

UnofficialOverclockingEULA = I confirm that I am aware of unofficial overclocking limitations and fully understand that MSI will not provide me any support on it

Tried opening up AB's settings and ticking the box for voltage control and monitoring?

I hadn't originally added the text part but I have now and it still isn't allowing voltage control.

Those seem to be ticked by default.

Does the model definitely have voltage control on it? I heard XFX had disabled it on some of the lower models. Perhaps they've also started disabling it on the DD edition?

Give sapphire trixx a go. I had some problems adjusting voltage with msi ab but trixx was straight forward on my 6870.
