7870 fan issue

I've had my 7870 for about two months and it has started making a really horrible noise when under load. It's definitely a fan issue, I opened my pc up and had a look, I cant see any thing out of the ordinary.

Any idea what is causing the noise?

Have you checked a cable isn't catching?

I made sure to move any cables near it away, but there was still noise

I've made a thread with my own 7870 noise issues. Stop each fan with your finger for a split second, that'll confirm if it is the fans, and which one is actually the culprit. People say that the fans catch the shroud around them, but that's not the case with mine, the fans are free with nothing catching them.

In my case I rang up OCUK and explained the problem, they set up an RMA so i've sent the card back to them and we'll see what happens - you may wish to do the same if you can't solve the problem.

I had a fan doing that noise... the problem was the "ring" that holds the fan axis.

Unfortunately I didn't get my card from OCUK and I cant rma it. But I will check the fans soon and hopefully I can find the culprit
