7870 le, causing bluescreen

Hey, my friend just purchased an xfx 7870 le and as soon as he installs drivers he gets a blues screen.

Before drivers are installed he gets an image no issues at all.

His motherboard is a GA-x58-usb3, using the f3 bios if that helps at all!

Is he using the latest drivers or the ones that came on the CD with the graphics card?

i know my 7950 wouldnt work with my mobo bios until i updated it may be worth flashing his bios if a later one exists just to rule that out.

My 7850 started doing this a month after i got it, would boot up with just the standard VGA driver but as soon as i installed the proper drivers my pc would BSOD during boot.

Returned it to OcUK and they confirmed it was faulty.
