7870 vs 7850

just wondering, is the 7870 really worth spending the extra £60-£70 over the 7850? or would it be better to just buy a 7850, clock it and save the money?

i've heard that the new drivers on the 7870 make it run the same as the 7950 at the moment , can anyone else confirm this?

7850 is a much better value. clock-for-clock there is only a 5% difference.

i play BF3 and Skyrim mostly but i will be getting Diablo 3 and Max Payne as of next week

oh and i play at 1920x1080

A 7850 would easily run BF3 & Skyrim on Ultra at that res, not sure about the other 2 but I can't see them being anymore demanding that BF3.

Get a 7850, definitely the sweet spot.

Ok thanks for the help guys, decided to take your advice to buy a 7850 and got the "Windforce 2X" edition.. im getting really excited and giddy now
