7900 GT Fan

Love the performance (clocks to hell ! 1600 - 590) but i got the OC 7900GT today, and i gotta say, the fan noise is most odd, almost like a hissing sound. Ive seen and heard quite a few like this cooler, but is this the same with all stock 7900GT coolers ?

The coolers are pretty much of a muchness across the board.Just with different badges etc....

Get a VF900 and make love with your ears

I too have a 7900GT which compared to my old X800XT sounded very loud.

I bit the bullet and bought a Zalman VF900CU and my silent rig is again silent.

Yeah my mate has a BFG 7900GT in his Shuttle and he says its silent, my XFX 7900GT was just too loud before I fitted the Maze 4.

Don't you have a 7900GT? Why would you consider a 7800.
