They have an odd connection, it is not the same regular blue one as my monitor, do I have to change my monitor to use these cards?

You can buy adaptors for DVI to VGA and vice versa, but I can't find any on OcUK. Try googling for D-sub adaptor or something like that.

As Zefan said, cards with dual-DVI output (which is pretty much all of them now) require a DVI-VGA converter if you want to use them with a standard monitor lead. Luckily there are always one or two in the box with the card. ;)

Also I just thought, take a look at the "This week only" section here as there's a GREAT deal on the x1900xt which is cheaper than the 7900gtx's and faster too!

In what?

By all acounts the 7900 GTX is faster in some games than the card you mention.

Simple fact is 7900GTX beats x1900xt in a variety of games.

Again an unbalanced post that is completely inaccurate.

So stop with the sweeping statements.

And has for the OP:

That mentions nothing about the ATI,

They usually come with an adaptor in the box.

Yeah id say the x1900 wasnt faster, id say they are about on par as they both win some, lose some as said above, but x1900s run hotter, use more power, and are louder than the 7900's, but they can do AA+HDR which the Nvidia cards can't, and also they are cheaper, so take those things into account, not the speed factor as as i said they are about on par.

If you dont want a card that uses more heat, is louder, and takes more power then get the 7900 GTX, if none of that bothers you then get the x1900 either way your getting about the same performance whichever one you get. :)

I know what your getting at easy, but if the x1900 is about same performance, then why not just let him know as it is cheaper, he may not know he can get a card thats about the same performance for a lot less, now he does he may decide to go for the x1900 and save some money, which is all everyone wants to do, if he doesn't because of the heat factor etc... then fine he's still getting a top card with about same performance. :)

Ok guys, thanks, I'm going with this one BFG GeForce 7900 GTX OC 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-017-BG)

I've always used Nvidia cards, so I'm going with that one. Just one thing, do you know if it will contain an adaptor or should I check with Oc first?

One more, this is my mobo Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 (Socket 939 & Upgradable to AM2) AGP & PCI-Express Motherboard (MB-002-AK) - that will be fine with this card, right?
