watch out he might snap and think you are being all sarcastic with the smilie! Unless this morning his found his sense of humour (unlikely).
If the performance is onpar with the X1800XT the two things that really interest me with this card is its length (ooer) if the screen shots were of the GT... then it looks to have gone back to the normal AGP kinda size.... and obviously the heat output, which again - looking at the very small cooler that was on it, looks like it could be low.
less than a week to go.... lets see if the GTX can match some of these attributes - if it can I guess it will be a big hit with the people who like single slot gfx cards :)

The OP in that XS thread was saying that the results in 3D Mark '05 and '06 were only showing single 7900GT scores because of some bug. It's pretty obvious that they aren't SLi results.

Only a few more days then we'll know for sure.

Importnatly, these are only the GTs, whihc don't differ too much to curent standard GTX cards.

Theres an extra 45-50% increase in clock speed with the 7900.

Yep, if these scores are genuine single card 7900GT results at stock CPU/GPU, just think what the 7900GTX is going to do!

btw, happy birthday D.P. :)

they are going to struggle with pricing if they do that i reckon. if it performs the same as a 7800GTX.... well the X1800XT 512mb is priced at £260 so a 512mb version will need to be cheaper than that.
We shall see... only 3 weeks to go for GT launch :)

Not that good tbh, as people have said you can get the x1800xt 256 for £235 which outperforms the 7800GTX or the 512mb model for £260 which again outperforms the GTX and is on par with the GTX512.

It will all depend on the pricing.

I have seen the 7900 GT for 225 ish on a UK suppliers today. availability 1-2 weeks
At that price it aint a bad buy, competing directly with the x1800xt 256. The 7900 GTX 512 was also there at 380 ( give or take a tenner cant remember exactly ) which seems a bit expensive if it aint better than the 1900.

Thursday the 9th for the GTX, the GT aint got an official date i don't think, but its about a couple of weeks after, by the end of the month anyway. :)
