so i finally got my 7900GT all set up, pelted etc :D (will post screenies of the overclocks when it's all done).

But I notice when the core temp drops below 24'C it throttles, I dont think the performance is affected (Rivatuner monitor still reads as the 3D clock speeds), but I can't be sure...

Does anyone know if this card has throttling? and how to disable it?

and whilst we're on the subject, I can't seem to get NVflash to recognise there's a card there... is it possible to mod the BIOS on the 7900GT yet? The hard-mod for 1.4 or 1.5vCore isn't difficult, but i'd like to see if i can't soft mod first...

Cheers

Mike

Maybe the core suffers from a cold bug?

This has been a problem with older cards as well and nVidia have a driver fix but would not give the drivers to everyone, only to reviewers and testers.

I don't think the card cold bugs... I've heard stories of people jamming it on phase without a problem...

it's just an annoyance, I'm sure there'll be the chance to turn it off once someone cracks the BIOS.
