7900GT to x1900Xt - worth changing?

I'm able to change from my 7900GT to a new HIS x1900XT for 60 quid. Is it worth me doing?

I game at 1680 x 1050. Would appreciate your opinions. Thanks.

I think everyone with a 7900 GT could sell it & buy a X1900XT for about 60 quid.

No one does it cos it'd be a waste

I've been offered 170 for my 7900gt + zalman and would look to buy the his 1900xt from OCUK. I was just wondering if its worth 60 quid to change thats all. Would i see a noticeable difference?

Its possible.
But I dont think the difference you would see is worth £60

oh. maybe i should buy another and SLI them then. Just not really getting the performance i want from it but if the 1900xt is about the same level of performance (or not noticable difference) then i'll have to spend the money and get another. Really didn't want to spend much until DX10 stuff.

The X1900XT is better at lower res, but when the res gets to 1280x 1024 (& higher) the X1900XT is easily the better card.

Thats an option,
At your res the res I game at 20.1" widescreen my GX2 is finally playing games at the FPS I like.

Another 7900 GT in SLI will show a great improvement.However I think you will be dissapointed with the step up to x1900 from 7900 GT at that res.

It will be faster yes,But not massively so,

Another GT will have you being were you want to be,Silky smooth FPS with Lashings of AA and AF with no slowdown.

If your spending money you want to SEE the results not just have a better 3D mark score.

SLI 7900 GT will show you were your money went.

Yeah, that makes sense. I guess its future proofing a bit better as well until DX10 comes out. I just hope the new one is as reliable as this one has been
