7900gt??????

Thanks for the reply guys.

Im just wondering what to do, i have a 7900gt and its (for lack of a better word) buggered, rips/tears and all kinds of nice stuff, im goin to return its to where i purchased it from but as this is the only pci-e card i have i need something to replace it until its either fixed or replaced.

I have a sli motherboard but i didnt want to buy another 7900gt to only have that go wrong (another £200+ wasted). I was thinking of getting a 7600 and then when they cant fixing my 7900 asking them to replace it with another 7600 its either that or biting the bullet and buying a radeon.

Any advice you guys have would be great

The reason i brought the 7900gt was that it would last me until i needed another card then i would get another and Sli which seemed to make sence and save a bit of money.

I just cant belive how unstable these cards are and im glad to be sending it back altho if they replace it i may be finding my way to ebay.

Ive gone for a 7600gt for now altho i maybe getting another one as soon as im sorted but ive not heard that many bad words against them. The reason i didnt go for Ati was the Sli option.

Just so you know it took 4months for my 7900 to go pear shaped and i was really happy until then but the amount of problems and intermitant issue are crazy and i get the feeling that the problems are being swept under the carpet i just hope the next gen cards are more stable

cheers for all you help guys

steve
