in my opinion they are rubbish... yea?
yea 05 isnt great i believe i get that with my old x800xt pci-e i could be wrong though. 03 is better than my x800 as that used to get 11-12K

Thats rubbish for your spec.
I used to get that on a Manchester X2-3800, and a X800XL :p

No idea on how to fix the problem though. Sorry

Yep i agree, check it is in the correct slot, and then have a proper trawl through the bios settings, will be under something like pci-express speed/multiplier i guess?

Definately shouldn't be x1 though and those scores are rubbish for spec

Its a problem with the Asus P5B Deluxe.

Very common, no fix as of yet.

Few ideas to get it to 16x are:

- Turn off completely, even plug for 5 mins (This works for me)
- Raise PCI-E freq
- Fiddle with SB voltage

everything is fine now, BUT, a very big BUT, ive lost my overclock! no0o0o0o

it seems that when i remove the OC everything is fine, but as soon as i put the clock back on its back to x1 mode

redone the benchies and got: (at stock CPU speeds 1.86ghz)

2003 - 21342
2005 - 9679

looks like i should have went for the DS3 after all, damn u asus with your fancy heatpipe cooling and all :(

never got a chance to do any of that lastnight, ill give it a go later on as im heading out soon. what SB Voltage do you mean, the SB Termination voltage?

where should i go with the PCIe frequency, no higher than 105, 110?

Up 120 is good without RAID, 110 is max for RAID setups.

The voltage im talking about is under NB V.
