7900gtx waterblock wont boot now

Has anyone installed a water block on an xfx card 7900 gtx
my system wouldnt boot after putting a swiftech block on it. I replaced the stock heatpipe and fan and the card boots anyone know if a jumper is needed on the fan connection?
