7900x with a H100i V2 ( Fractal R6 ) running idle at stock 50c with any basic use hitting 70c and going to thermal shutdown with any gaming, any ideas?

yes pump is set to max and is showing at 3000rpm, have removed cooler 3-4 times and still the same.

Yeah no change in noise when i move from low to high speed on the pump just sounds the same and the pipe above the logo on the pump is really warm but the lower one is cold, have opened a ticket with corsair.

What could I buy cheap to tide me over until corsair sort out the H100i?

I'm planning to go for a open loop very soon just wanted to get the system up and running first before looking into the loop.

May just order a fractal s36 and just sell the h100i v2 when it gets fixed

Cosair have said I have to cover return shipping costs for a faulty item, not very good service.

Manufacturers or resellers only pay for return postage for faulty items if you are still within the standard 14 days CCR (Consumer Contracts Regulations). Once you are outside of that then it is the buyer that needs to pay for this. You probably should realign your expectations with what is reasonable.

I understand they don't have to offer return shipping but for a large pc brand I would expect them to offer this.

Just got the Fractal S36 until I setup the open loop and idle temps are between 35-40c and topping out while gaming at 51c.

You could expect the Russians to admit to using nerve gas to try and kill 2 people on British soil and killing another Russian business man in London but then it would not be a reasonable expectation.

I've been in I.T for over 30 years and I can not remember a company paying to send faulty stuff back to them (outside of the 14 days); Logitech used to send out replacements even before they'd received the faulty item back but I doubt they still do that.

I’ve been lucky enough not to have had the need to rma much computer related items but with all the last 3 companies I’ve dealt with they have provided pre paid shipping labels, evga gpu, Samsung ultrabook and my Microsoft surface. I work with a lot of power tool companies and they all arrange pre paid returns for faulty items.

May just start buying all my stuff from the “rain forest” they seem to pay for any return faulty or not lol.

Anyway at least the system is working now.
