Hi all,

Was wondering what your thoughts on a 7900X3D build were. I have a 3080TI which I'll be throwing into the new build so will just need the rest. Going to be handing my current PC down to my partner so she can enjoy the benefits of PC gaming!

I have a budget of around £1500-2000 to get everything but a GPU and have just seen that the CPU is on sale at the moment so seems a decent time to strike.

Would you fine people be able to piece together a list of parts you think would be best for the budget? I'm not against saving where possible but if certain parts shouldn't be cheaped out on then go for it! I like the fractal and be quiet! cases but am not keen on any crazy RGB, subtle RGB (like on AIO's and displays) is okay!

I appreciate your time :)

What @Tetras said. Personally I'd go with a different case/cooler, but that's personal preference ofc
I would also suggest you get some RGB bling bling too - I'm not one to have RGB, but it really does enhance resale value in the future.
You don't have to plug in the RGB, so best of both worlds, really

My own view is that the 7900X3D and 7950X3D are going to be replaced at some point by chips that have the extra cache on both CCDs.
possibly

i think just for gaming, the 7900/7950x3d is a bit wasted
the 7800x3d is just a few weeks away (6 apr) might as well save a few quid and wait it out
