Hi Guys,
Just want to clear myself up if this will work or not.
I currently have 4 monitors and I have 2 7950s in crossfire, but as i can only use the top card i wondered if i could get the 4k screen to 60hz as its currently going over the HDMI 1.4a port which doesn't support 4k 60hz.
MDP-DP > 1440p 60hz
MDP-DP > 1440p 60hz
DL-DVI > 1440p 60hz
HDMI > 4k 30hz
From what ive read, Displayport does support 4k at 60hz.
So could I buy a Mini displayport to HDMI cable and have the Monitor run at 4k 60Hz, but also have the monitor i have swapped run at 1440p 60hz over HDMI?
I've done a bit of reading and im not sure if i would need an active adapter or something for the minidp to HDMI, or if it will even work.
Any Ideas?
Cheers !
