Have just added the second 7950 and all seems well BUT would just like to check a couple of readings with other forum members that I'm getting from GPU-Z .

I have an Asus Top as the 1st card and a Gigabyte Windforce as the second and both are running at their standard speeds of 900 core + 5000 Memory.

According to GPU-Z :-

The core clock and memory speed for the second card - the gigabyte are at full whack at all times- 900 and 5000
Whereas the first card the Asus drops to 300 and 600

Is this normal ? - I would prefer the 2nd card to clock down and save on juice and heat.:)

And

Bus width and Bandwith for the Asus are stated to be the expected 384 bit + 240gb/s
BUT for the Gigabyte such are stated to be only 32bit and 20gb/s

Again is this normal ?

Anything that I should be doing that I'm not?

I am not concerned with performance as such more the fact that the second gpu is running @ 100% all the time it appears and the readings that gpu-z is providing ref Bus width and Bandwith appear very low.

Are these readings 'normal' or am I missing a trick or two ?

Perfectly normal. You have ULPS enabled so the second card should shut off when not in use completely. You can tell this is working by checking to see if the fan moves when idling on the desktop.

Thank you for that - puts my mind at rest :)

I'll have a look at the fans when idling, as a double check.

So far I have not stretched it apart from a quick run of Heaven which showed suitable increases in numbers!

Down this week I intend to give it a proper test by upping the goodies on Crysis 3 + Bioshock Infinite (new DLC) etc - I have been wary of overloading when running one @ 2560 x 1440

The new gpu block is due any time so if not before , over xmas will be installing and re-jigging my system - pleasure's to come :D

My thanks again !!
