I'm just looking a the AMD HIS HD 7950 3072MB. Was thinking about getting a nVidia 660 or 670, but I'm now considering a 7950, only one question though. All the images I can see they only show one DVI port. Can you run two monitors on this card?

Well, Its the question between this card and a 660?

I assume this card (the 7950) would be more than sufficient to run BF3 or Farcry 3 etc and any games for the next 6 months pretty reasonably?

Yes, easily - I'm running a 7950 and its plenty enough, only struggles with BF3 in silly high Eyefinity resolutions!

most have 1 dvi, 2 mini displayport and an hdmi, though some have different connectors.

You can get adapters for all the different ports too.

How does the 7850 compare? There's a huge price jump! Sorry for such basic questions, i've tried to search :(

7850 when overclocked sits between 7870 and 7950 stock performance.

7950 when overclocked is a fair bit faster than a stock 7970.

The 7850 is about the same as the GTX 660.

The 7950 is about the same as the GTX 670.

The 7950 will keep you right on maxed settings for some time to come, its the most performance you will get for its money right now and it is pretty powerful.

I hope you don't get one of the supposed Broken batch I had two of these and they ran very hot and loud!

Dremel it in... :D

You can run dual screens from a 7950 by using any of the ports together. 3 or more screens will require active adapters. If your screens have Dvi and HDMi just use them.

It's only the Twin Frozr 7950's that are borked, the one he has ordered is a reference design.

Would have gone for something Custom TBH the reference cooler is loud and doesn't cool as good as it could have.
