Treat myself to a Gigabyte 7950 Windforce (not from OcUK) which I installed today along with the AMD 12.11 beta, everything was running smoothly until I started up World of Tanks.

At first it was small pink squares on one tiny area of the screen which didn't appear on any screenshots. Restarted the game and they didn't appear anymore, was still a bit worried, thinking along the lines of dodgy vram so I ran GPU-Z in the background logging temps, etc and didn't see anything out of the ordinary until the following happened.

The card itself came pre-clocked to 1Ghz. Everything else in my system is at stock. Previous card was a 6870 which was rock solid but was running a slightly older driver.

I would try older WHQL drivers before condemning your card.
I had artifacts in WoT too, with a MSI HD 7950 (not as bad as that though)

The only other place I noticed them was MSi Kombustor - Furry and Tessy.

Yup, in the middle of removing the drivers. Gonna give 12.10 a go as they were fine with my old card. :)

Installed 12.10's and tried a few games, got this in the Take on Helicopters demo. Looking more like I need to rma :(

Any chance of testing it thoroughly in another game?

Sleeping Dogs Extreme benchmark is a good one for weeding out any problems. Don't want you to return it only for it to be sent back with a no issues sticker on it :D.

No Sleeping Dogs, but I did try Farcry 3. Getting a pink block halfway down the screen, it's not appearing in screenshots though.
