Hiya, My cousin received his http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-148-MS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1673

And he wants to run three screens he has the HDMI, DVI all linked up and there is a minidisplay port for the third monitor. So I thought this - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-047-OK&tool=3

would be perfect until I read somewhere that if you want to use a adapter like that for 3 screens you need to have an active one.

Do I need an active mini displayport adapter like this one - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-058-HS&groupid=701&catid=1915&subcat=1577

Which Mini Display Adapter?

Hi guys,

I'm trying to get a friends 7950 to run on eyefinity, currently I have one monitor connected via HDMI and another by DVI. The last one needs to be connected via mini display port so I thought about purchasing this:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-047-OK

That was until I read the review about eyefinity needing an "active" mini display adapter. I don't understand why that is so could someone help me by telling me which adapter I need for this to work preferably with HDMI to MDSP.

Hold on, so if my friend plays at Eyefinity resolution (not sure what that is) then would I need dual link?

*Edit* I ordered the single link as I assumed I only needed to take into account that one monitors resolution. Was I wrong?
