Hi. I'm just tweaking my 7950 GX2. Memory currently at 627, clock at 1.50. No problems so far, temps are fine at about 56C. I'm not running any extra cooling on the board.
I was wondering what any other 7950 GX2 owners are clocking to? Am I putting my board at risk at these levels?

[edit] sorry, that's clock at 637, memory at 1500. [/edit]

I run mine 24x7 at 600 core 1500 memory seems to be 100% safe... you will probably start to see artifacts at about 650MHz (without voltmodding) if its a good clocker and about 630 if its a crap clocker.

Currently I don't need any more performance :D so I don't bother clocking it higher except for benchies...

Indicentally, I just ran "Find Optimal", which settled on 1300/550. I think I may leave it at this for everyday use, I think it would only affect games so there's no point frying the thing.

600/1400 will run fine 24x7 with no risk of killing the card, and gives a significant performance boost. 550 isn't such a decent boost from stock.

Just finished a test at 700/1400. I ran RTHDRIBL for 30 minutes, temps rose from mid-50s to high-70sC. No visible artefacts. I'm getting to set it back down now, but I think that's a pretty good bump.

700MHz with no artifacts is good... can you run 3D Marks 06 through with out any problems?

Funnily enough, that's where trouble came into paradise ;) . It died a quiet death on first test. I thought that RTHDRIBL would have stressed the GPU/System more than 3dM06, but was seriously wrong. I've reset to 600/1300 for now.

I got 8600+ on my first 3DM06 tests, but the system was unstable under Orthos, S&M, etc. So I've knocked it down, barely getting 7000+ atm. But I'm not worried about scores, more about stability. Still running 320*11, however I've pushed my ram from 1:1 back to SPD (4:5), seems to get a tiny performance benefit at that ratio.
